SMS notifications

Premium feature

Quick links:

This is a Webba Booking Premium feature. If you don’t have Webba Premium yet, you can get it here.

With SMS notifications you can send text messages directly to your customers for important actions and reminders related to their bookings. With SMS notifications, you can enhance your communication strategy and ensure that your customers stay informed and engaged throughout the booking process.

You can configure SMS notifications for the following actions:

  • On Booking – When a customer makes a booking or when a booking is manually added by an administrator, the customer receives an SMS notification confirming their booking details.
  • Booking approval – If your booking system requires approval from an administrator, you can enable SMS notifications to notify customers when their booking has been approved.
  • Reminder – to reduce no-shows and ensure customers remember their bookings, you can set up SMS reminders to be sent before their scheduled booking.

These timely and personalized SMS messages help improve customer experience, reducing no-shows, and increasing customer satisfaction.

Webba Booking integrates with Twilio, a trusted SMS gateway service, to facilitate the setup and delivery of SMS notifications. Connecting your Twilio account lets you leverage its robust infrastructure and capabilities to send SMS messages reliably and securely to your customers’ mobile devices.

How to set up Twilio?

Video instructions

As the first step you will need to sign up for a Twilio account: Visit the Twilio website (www.twilio.com) and create a new account. Provide the necessary details and complete the registration process.

To integrate Webba with Twilio you will need to add Twilio ACCOUNT SID and Twilio AUTH TOKEN in Settings → SMS

What is a Twilio Account SID and where can I find it?

The Twilio Account SID is a unique 34-character alphanumeric identifier that serves as a username for a specific Twilio Parent Account or Subaccount.

It can be found on the Twilio Console dashboard when logging into your Twilio account. Starting with the letters “AC,” the Account SID is a key credential that helps identify and authenticate your Twilio account.

What is a Twilio AUTH TOKEN and where can I find it?

The Account SID serves as a username, and the Auth Token functions as a password for your Twilio account.

To access the Auth Token, navigate to the Account Info pane on the Console Dashboard page. The Auth Token is initially hidden for security purposes.

Simply click “show” to reveal the token, and you can click “hide” to conceal it again when necessary.
