How to set up PayPal?

Video instructions:

To enable online payments through Webba Booking, you’ll need a PayPal Business account and the necessary API credentials. Follow these steps to set up your PayPal account for Webba Booking:

To get your Live client ID and client secret follow these steps:

  1. Log in to the Developer Dashboard or create an account if you haven’t already.
  2. Make sure the “Live” mode is selected in the top right corner.
  3. Navigate to the “Apps & Credentials” section.
  4. If you’re starting a new project, click on “Create App”, add a name and press “Create App”.
  5. Locate the “API credential” section and copy the Client ID and Secret key 1.
  6. Go to Webba Booking –> Settings –> PayPal and paste the Client ID into PayPal Live ClientID field and Secret Key 1 into PayPal Live Secret.

To get your Sandbox client ID and client secret follow these steps:

  1. Log in to the Developer Dashboard or create an account if you haven’t already.
  2. Make sure the “Sandbox” mode is selected in the top right corner.
  3. Navigate to the “Apps & Credentials” section.
  4. If you’re starting a new project, click on “Create App” to generate a Default Application in the REST API apps section.
  5. Locate the “API credential” section and copy the Client ID and Secret key 1.
  6. Go to Webba Booking –> Settings –> PayPal and paste the Client ID into PayPal Sandbox ClientID field and Secret Key 1 into PayPal Sandbox Secret.

Confirm the setup by pressing “Save” and you’ve successfully set up the integration with PayPal.

What’s the difference between Sandbox and Live modes?

Sandbox mode is a testing environment where you can experiment and develop without real financial transactions, while Live mode is the actual, production environment where real transactions and payments occur.

We highly recommend testing payments in the “Sandbox” environment before going live to ensure everything works as expected.

How to test PayPal Payments?

Go to Settings –> PayPal –> Mode and select “Sandbox”.

Make sure that the PayPal setup described above is done.

After the “Sandbox” environment is selected, you can make a test payment of one of the services to simulate a transaction and confirm that your PayPal integration is functioning correctly.

How to add PayPal payments to a service?

Ensure that your PayPal setup is finalized and then follow these steps:

  1. Go to the Services page on your Webba Booking dashboard.
  2. Either edit an existing service or create a new one by selecting the service.
  3. In the service’s popup window, navigate to the “Pricing” tab.
  4. In the “Payment methods” section, select “PayPal” as the preferred payment method.
  5. Save your changes by clicking the “Save” button.

By completing these steps, you’ll have successfully configured PayPal as the payment method for your service in Webba Booking.

PayPal Settings

In the Settings –> PayPal you’ll find a range of settings that you can personalize to meet your specific needs and preferences. Here are some settings you can customize:

  • PayPal Currency: Choose the currency for PayPal payments.
  • Hide address: Enable to hide the address during the PayPal checkout.
  • Redirect to page when payment is successful: Enter the URL for customer redirection after a successful payment; leave empty to stay on the booking form page.
  • Currency multiplier: Add a currency multiplier to adjust the price before sending it to PayPal. Useful when your service price is in a non-PayPal-supported currency, and you need to convert it before checkout. Leave this field empty if no currency conversion is needed.
