New Booking Form Design

One noticeable update in Webba 5 is the introduction of a modern booking form design. This not only adds a fresh aesthetic appeal but also aims to enhance user experience.
Additionally, the design improvements extend to the easily customizable backend, allowing you to tailor the form’s colors to your branding.
Revamped Booking Management Experience

In the background, substantial work has gone into revamping the backend interface. The objective is to offer administrators a more intuitive and effective booking management system.
The improvements aim to simplify the administrative side of things, making it easier to oversee booking and update the settings.
Dashboard + Statistics

Webba 5 introduces a dashboard view that provides a comprehensive view of your bookings, revenue, and availability. Now you will be able to have a quick view of the upcoming bookings and also see your performance through the statistics table.
This page offers a convenient snapshot of your booking landscape, aiding you in making informed decisions regarding your scheduling.
Setup Wizard + Simplified Setup

A notable addition is the intuitive Setup Wizard. This tool is designed to guide users through the initial plugin setup process. It covers a range of step-by-step tasks, including configuring services, business hours, and the most essential setting setup.
The wizard aims to simplify the onboarding process, ensuring that you can swiftly set up the booking system and start accepting first bookings.
In addition – all of our new users will enjoy a lot easier setup in general – we have made things clearer, more structured and made some basic features default to make you less confused.
Is there anything that remains exclusively in Webba 4?
While Webba 5 is introducing changes to both the frontend booking form and backend interface design, it’s important to note that all the familiar features and functionalities you’ve come to rely on will remain unchanged.
This means you can confidently upgrade without concerns about losing any of the core capabilities you currently enjoy.
Why You Should Upgrade?
Upgrading to Webba Booking Plugin Version 5 brings a multitude of benefits to your booking process:
- Enhanced User Experience: The new booking form design ensures a seamless booking experience for your clients, increasing conversion rates and customer satisfaction.
- Effortless Management: The revamped backend design simplifies appointment management, saving you time and reducing the learning curve for new administrators.
- Stay Current: Our team will keep continuously improving Webba 5 to meet your evolving needs and stay aligned with the latest trends and advancements. Webba 4 will slowly be sunsetted in 2024.
How to Upgrade to Webba 5?
There are a few ways to upgrade to Webba 5:
Automatic Update
If you have enabled automatic plugin updates, the transition to the latest version will be seamless. Your website will automatically update to Version 5, ensuring you’re always using the latest features and improvements.

Manual Update
For those who prefer manual control over updates, simply navigate to the WordPress plugin page, and initiate the update process. It’s a straightforward process that ensures you have complete control over the timing of the update.

Premium Users
If you are a Premium user and the instructions above don’t work for you, go to the WordPress dashboard and navigate to Webba Booking –> Account and next to the “Version”, click on the “Install Update Now” button.

What to do after updating to Webba 5?
To ensure a smooth transition, here are some essential steps to take after updating to Webba 5:
Update your shortcodes
To ensure that your new booking form displays correctly, it’s essential to replace the old shortcodes with the new ones. You can find the updated shortcodes in our documentation, but will only be valid once Webba 5 is launched. Meanwhile, continue to utilize the existing shortcodes.
Rename translation files
For those who have customized translations for your booking system, there’s a crucial adjustment to make.
In the new Webba 5 version, the text domain is changed to “webba-booking-lite.” When the new update will be launched, here’s how to adapt your custom translations, using Spanish translations as an example:
- Before: wbk-es_ES.mo, wbk-es_ES.po
- After: webba-booking-lite-es_ES.mo, webba-booking-lite-es_ES.po
What happens after I upgrade? Will my data be lost?
After upgrading to the new version of Webba Booking, your data will be transferred automatically, ensuring that your existing booking records and essential information remain intact. However, the most notable changes will be primarily in the backend booking management system and the booking form design.
If you prefer to continue using Webba 4, you have the flexibility to do so. While Webba Booking Plugin Version 5 introduces significant enhancements, we understand that some users may have a preference for the previous version.
Keeping Webba 4 and Access to Support
We understand that change can be a big step. That’s why we’re offering the choice to continue using Webba 4 or switch back to it if necessary.
If you opt to stick with Webba 4, ensure that you’ve deactivated automatic updates on your WordPress plugin page.

Support for Webba 4 will be available for the next 6 months following the release of Version 5. During this period, we’ll provide assistance, though it will be limited as we encourage users to transition to the enhanced features of Version 5.
